Well if you had a wamu account today, it will be a jp morgan one tomorrow. At least your money is safe even if it is above 100k because it is now under chase. Well now if you had a wamu account you have 2 choices:
1. Stay and convert to a JP Morgan Chase member
2. Leave and go to BOA, Wells Fargo, or any other bank... make sure it is a strong one and not on the brink of bankruptcy because then you will be back where you started.
Well all I can say to end this is one final woohoo in memory of Wamu.

Well let the drilling begin
I cannot believe that we have come back to something a quarter of a century old. We have put our safety in danger, our coasts may end up tar pits, and possibly the end of clean waters and beach life. I for one do not want to take a chance and have an oil spill in the ocean. Not only does it pollute the water, it will endanger millions both in and out of the sea.
Now the Democrats are letting the bill die by not doing anything. Obama was against offshore drilling and his party goes off and supports the whole "drill baby drill" mantra that Palin started. I wonder if the drilling will include Alaska, it probably will. I just think it is appalling that a Governor supports drilling in the refuge area, but I guess that is what we get from strong conservatives.
I think that this is the beginning of the end for oil, not only will it take years to even extract oil for the masses, will it even be worth it? We are supposed to be making progress into the future, and 1973 then and now is still the past. So I am upset that we are not making progress. Hopefully the drilling speculation will drive down prices, hopefully there will be no oil spills, and hopefully oil is extracted safely and quickly, if at all.
I am still waiting for Hydrogen fueled cars, we have another 10 to 15 years until that happens. Wait I think the oil will be extracted by then. We still hope for electric cars, but the latest cars from GM will also run on gasoline after 40 miles. Progress and change need to be made and those in charge of the future fuel better hurry up before we pollute the world with primitive oil and fossil fuels.

Alot happened today
Well where should I start, I was at school eating with a friend when CNN was on the television. The news was blaring that oil shot up $20 in one day and some estimates had it at 120 a barrel. Was this sensationalism? I think so, seeing as bloomberg has oil at 109 right now.

The dollar has lost on the Euro and is now $1.478 for 1 Euro.
http://www.bloomberg.com/markets/currencies/fxc.html
Just last week we were at $1.39 for 1 Euro.
Next we have the bailout which is worth 700 billion, where does this money come from? Who else, the tax payers. Wall Street F'ed up and we need to bail them out or else we will be screwed for their mistakes. Insurance companies, Banks, and other foundations are tanking. Why, because these SMART men and women screwed up by taking ridiculous loans and thinking that they would never get caught. Well they did and now we must bail them out, the value of the dollar is dropping because of all the printed money that is being created for this bailout.
We need to do something, the good thing is if the loan is approved, America will get ownership in these companies and start to make money off of it. Could it be a smart move, who knows. We will have to wait and see.

The man they call Michael Jackson
Arguably the biggest star in the 80's and 90's and quite possibly the most famous person alive. But how did he get these titles from such places as Guiness and Time magazine? He achieved it through music and most importantly the Thriller album.
But somewhere along the lines, the press started to take a turn on him. They used to say only good things about him, but it is really true that the press only builds someone up just to tear them down. They start rumors, and take the focus off of art and into insanity.
Now many people are wondering what reception will Michael's next album receive? Could the past trial have an effect? I think so, but not an overwhelming negative one. During the trial, his music quadrupled on amazon and itunes. His latest re release of Thriller 25 sold 3 million copies in 12 weeks. That is more than Ushers latest cd which was released in May and has now sold 1.7 million and chris browns latest which has sold 2.6 million. And that was just a re release/remix. Think of what an album full of new material would garner?
I think the future is bright for Michael Jackson and his fans. We all know that the press is scum, and your light is shining Mike. We just cannot wait to hear your new material.
Here is one of my favorite performances of his, it is Dangerous.

Why do THEY vote republican?
It was always a topic that made me question people and why they do what they do. Let me give you a quick example first. If you have a population of people with incomes lower than $100k and you have two candidates, one promises to lower your taxes significantly and the other does not care about your tax relief, but only to the minority of you that make $250K and over. Who would you think they would vote for?
Now let us zoom back to reality, the THEY in this story are the people in the midwest and southern regions of America. Obviously, they would benefit from lower taxes, but they tend to vote for the opposite. Why is this? Do they feel better about themselves to vote and try to be like the elite and rich? I think that is sad, and this election which is 2008 and for the Presidency, I hope THEY smarten up and really look at what these candidates are promising you, or lacking to promise you.
It is simple, if you want the BUSH tax cuts to help out Richie Rich down the street vote for McCain, but if you want actual tax relief vote for Obama. There really is not much else to say on the economy, do not get me started on the other 7 years of mess.

Matt Damon... The Palin Identity
I do not know why everyone is jumping on Matt Damon for his comments. What he said was his opinion, and I cannot find one point in the interview that is hateful or a lie. Maybe saying that there is a 1 in 3 chance that McCain does not make it through the first term because of age was a little rash but it is true. The average life expectancy for a white male is 76 according to http://www.nysun.com/national/american-life-expectancy-passes-78-years/79783/
and McCain will be 76 before his last year in office is up. But it is true that Palin has little experience in foreign policy and government in general. Sure McCain has a ton of experience, but he has not been the maverick that he used to be for the last 7 years, I wonder why?????

McCain and Change?
I have to address this, is John McCain, a person that I have admired in the past and thought would have been a good presidential nominee in 2000 actually stating that his ticket is advocating change? Is change agreeing and siding with President Bush 90 percent of the time? I think not. Now I will be the first person to say that John McCain is a great American who served his country with valor and honor like no other, but I think he is delirious on this one.
First, why did he Pick Governor Palin for his VP? Was it because of her great experience and years in politics, wait, no she has less experience than Obama. But no matter how much experience a person claims to have will never be enough to step in the oval office on the first day and know exactly how to solve every single problem. Experience can't hurt, but I believe that if you have a person who has the initiative and shows promise of what he or she can do in the future, as opposed to living in the past, then you have the formula for success.
Now to get back to the topic, why did he pick Palin? It was for the BUZZ, of which Senator McCain did not have very much of. She was a good pick for that factor, but wait until she starts answering the tough questions and defending her record or lack there of.
Can you really blame John McCain for copying Obama's slogan? After all he sided with Bush and was technically a mini Bush 90 percent of the time, now I guess in a weird way, he has tried to be a mini Obama 100 percent of the time. The key is to differentiate yourself from your rival.
We need a President who can stick to what he believes in and does not cherry pick and just go with the status quo.
